History of the Agreements

Since 1990, the Commonwealth Government and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia have entered into a series of Agreements which set out the remuneration that pharmacists will receive for dispensing PBS medicines and the arrangements regulating the location of pharmacies approved to supply PBS medicines. Over time these Agreements have increased in scope to provide for professional pharmacy programs and services. 

Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement (2010-2015)

The Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement between the Commonwealth Government and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia was signed on 3 May 2010 and covers the period 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2015. 

Fourth Community Pharmacy Agreement (2005-2010)

The Fourth Community Pharmacy Agreement between the Commonwealth Government and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia was signed on 16 November 2005 and covers the period 1 December 2005 to 30 June 2010.

Third Community Pharmacy Agreement (2000-2005)

The Third Community Pharmacy Agreement between the Commonwealth Government and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia was signed on 16 May 2000 and covers the period 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2005.
